Qatari leaders greet Croatian president-elect
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on winning the presidential elections in Croatia.
Defence Minister meets commander of Turkish Navy
HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah yesterday met the commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Recep Bulent Bostanoglu and his accompanying delegation.
They exchanged views on issues of common concern and ways of co-operation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by senior armed forces officers.
Qatar-UAE legal ties reviewed
HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi held a meeting with UAE Ambassador to Qatar Faisal Ahmed Said al-Ali yesterday.
They discussed co-operation in the legal and judicial fields. They also reviewed a number of issues of joint interest.
Lawyers’ panel holds meeting
The Lawyers Admission Committee met yesterday at its permanent premises at the Ministry of Justice under the chairmanship of HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi.
The committee discussed topics tabled on its agenda and took the following decisions:
1. Reviewing registration of lawyers’ requests in the registration roll as practising lawyers.
2. Checking the results of the investigation into disciplinary action taken on some violations against lawyers.
3. Accepting the reference of requests to the roll of non-practising lawyers at the request of stakeholders.
Lebanese minister meets Qatar envoy
Lebanese Justice Minister Major General Ashraf Rifi met Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ali bin Hamad al-Marri in Beirut yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two brotherly countries in matters of mutual concern and means of developing them.
Georgia president meets ambassador
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met outgoing Ambassador of Qatar to Georgia Mohamed bin Khamis al-Kuwari.
Ambassador al-Kuwari conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to President Margvelashvili.
The Georgian president reciprocated the Emir’s greetings.
