HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro held a round of official talks at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani attended the talks along with a number of ministers.
Members of the official delegation accompanying the Venezuelan president were also present.
During the session, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and means of further developing them. They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Following the talks, the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Venezuelan president and the accompanying delegation.
The Venezuelan president was accorded an official reception ceremony when he arrived at the Emiri Diwan.
 Later in the evening, President Maduro left Doha wrapping up an official visit to Qatar.
The Venezuelan president was seen off at Hamad International Airport by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada and Charge d’Affaires at the Venezuelan embassy in Qatar Felix Alberto Moreno Martinez.
