The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) issued 629 new commercial licences in December last year, 107 licenses less than the previous months registering a drop of 14.5%.
Al Rayyan Area got the largest number of new licences, 279, followed by Doha, 239. Both municipalities constituted 82.4% of the newly issued commercial licenses in December.
During the same month, MEC issued 1,129, comprising 570 main commercial registrations, and 559 branch commercial registrations.
The total number of new commercials registrations dropped by 2% compared to the previous month’s figures.
