Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco) has announced that its showroom on Khalifa Street will reopen to customers on January 30, following the temporary closure by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) on December 31, 2014.
The closure followed an inspection by a team of inspectors from the MEC’s Consumer Protection Department. They found that there were minor lapses related to Law No 8 of 2008, which states that there must be full disclosure of the product to the customer, Domasco said in a statement yesterday.
Faisal Sharif, managing director of Domasco, said: “The team found issues related to very minor repairs on our stock vehicles, which include fixing minute scratches or dents that may have occurred in our stock yard, which were not disclosed to the customer prior to sale due to lapses in our internal process.
“We have contacted the 11 affected customers and fully resolved their concerns and issues. We would like to offer our sincerest apologies to our customers for this avoidable inconvenience.
“We would further like to state that we intend to fully comply with the regulations as set by the ministry and have reviewed our internal processes and initiated remedial action to ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future.”
The official said Domasco looks forward to welcoming all customers to the Khalifa Street showroom and assures them of quality services. In the interim period, customers can visit the showroom of the appointed dealer, IATC, which is located on Al Sadd Street.
For further information, customers can call Domasco on 44246800.
