Sidra Medical and Research Center took part in this year’s National Day celebrations by hosting festivities for its employees under the theme ‘Pearl Diving.’ |
Abdulrazaq al-Kuwari, acting chief operating officer, Sidra cut the National Day cake ahead of the celebrations. The day-long event was held at Sidra’s offices in Al Nasr Tower, West Bay where employees learned about Qatari culture, the ancient marine trade of pearl diving and enjoyed traditional music, food, a mini-souq and craft making demonstrations.
“National Day is a wonderful opportunity to highlight Qatar’s achievements and share some of our treasured customs with the Sidra community. We have more than 30 different nationalities at Sidra, and we hope that the festivities in Qatar will be fun and engaging for them to learn more about our culture and also instill a sense of pride and belonging,” said Eman Nasralla, community relations and development manager, Sidra.
