Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has launched ‘Fayez’, which translates to “winner” in English, a programme that aims to improve communication between AZF staff, members, and stakeholders.

The programme, which was launched on Thursday, saw participation by hundreds of senior staff and members of Aspire Academy, Aspetar, and Aspire Logistics.

AZF CEO Khalid Abdullah al-Sulaiteen said the ‘Fayez’ programme aims to achieve a “win-win formula for all parties”. He said it was the result of a questionnaire distributed to employees, who identified requirements and challenges they might face for a better productive working environment.

Al-Sulaiteen said: “In Aspire Zone Foundation, we are keen to pursue the insight of our political leadership and we always give high emphasis to its values that consider the human resources and workforce as its most significant resource and the most valuable asset.”

“This is clearly outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030 and its National Development Strategy 2011-2016, which both articulate the need to ‘build a capable and motivated workforce’ and lay it as a fundamental pillar for the strategic development of our beloved country,” he said.

Al-Sulaiteen added: “It is certainly a cornerstone in our organisational culture that working as one is the only way towards achieving our ambitious challenging vision to be the global reference for Sports Excellence by 2020, which requires all of us to work as a consolidated team in a harmonious environment.”

He also stressed that change “is an ongoing process” in the institutions and organisations that aim to be world-class, “especially in a dynamic organisation like ours. The difference is to take this change as a positive opportunity for career development and working environment improvement”.

During the launching, AZF invited motivational speaker and specialist Carl Massy to encourage team spirit, removing communication and structural barriers, and support rapport between the employees.

Massy conducted special team bonding session, which solicited “great response and interaction” from the participants.

Organisers of the programme said: “This step is just the beginning. The programme runs for three years in order to complete its ambitious development plan.”

The programme is also a continuation of AZF’s efforts for the development of its employees, “making Aspire a favourite destination as an employer that can attract the best expertise and skilled personnel in various disciplines”.
