A forum titled 21st Century Education Solutions, hosted by Darwish Technology, a leading provider of electronics and IT solutions, was attended by education and technology experts from private and public educational institutions in Qatar. |
The forum started with a brief introduction on the achievements of Darwish Technology in the field of technology education. During the past seven years, the company installed thousands of interactive boards from Promethean in more than 300 schools and universities across Qatar and trained more than 10,000 teachers, which won Darwish Technology awards from Promethean.
Darwish Technology also equipped the interactive classrooms with voting and control systems, interactive projectors, touch screens, computers; Macs and iPads, multifunction- printers, scanners, photocopiers, fax machines and various solutions from world class companies in the field such as Promethean, Apple, Sony and Ricoh.
Using the iPads and the Touch screen, which is the latest Promethean invention, Darwish technology highlighted the new solutions and applications during the forum. These new apps and solutions are Casper, DisplayNote, and MyStore.
The Casper Suite enables comprehensive Apple management: simple, secure and scalable for both Macs and iOS devices. It is easy to manage updates, proactively support computers both automatically and remotely, and manage inventory.
DisplayNote transforms presentations for presenters and participants. It can be used to present wirelessly with an iPad or Android and mirror the presenter’s screen to every participant’s device. Attendees can view and capture the presenter’s slides on their device and collaborate with each other in real time.
MyStore is a secure in-house repository hosting all the iTunes or in-House content (such as Apps, Books, Videos, Images, Urls and Documents).
All the users can access their local store using an iOS native app developed for that purpose with the highest level of security and LDAP integration.
The administrators can manage easily all the contents, with different security levels, and deploy it to the end user’s iPad.
