The Human Resources Department (HRD) in the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has honoured 37 trainers from among officers and civil staff members working in its various departments, who have been accredited by international training bodies.

Legal adviser to HE the Prime Minister Maj Gen Dr Abdullah Yusuf al-Mal handed over certificates to the accredited trainers at a programme held in the Civil Defence officers’ club on Thursday, according to a statement.

Maj Gen al-Mal said the MoI was keen to undertake all necessary initiatives to upgrade the skills of its officers and staff, including trained cadres honoured on the occasion.

This was the second batch of trainers, which included female civil officers as well, the
statement adds.

He stressed that the presence of trained employees in the ministry would lead to an improvement in performance levels across various security, humanitarian and service sectors of
the MoI.

The head of the Training Section in HRD, Capt Ali Saud al-Khenzab, said the Human Resources Department of the ministry had taken all measures that would provide better opportunities to ensure quality training for its staff, keeping pace with latest developments and changes in various areas of operation in the ministry.
