Sidra Medical and Research Center will host a delegation of over 100 obstetricians and gynecologists from Sudan for the joint Sidra symposia series - Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists “Hot Topics in Obstetrics and Gynaecology” taking place in Doha from November 30 to December 2. |
The aim of the event is to encourage a discussion and dialogue between international experts about the future of obstetrics and gynaecology and the profession’s development in the Mena region.
The delegation comprises of representatives from over 20 hospitals and healthcare institutions in Sudan, including Prof Abbo Hassan Abbo from the University of Khartoum, a leading expert on fistula treatment. Physicians will be offered a variety of training workshops such as simulation debriefing and early trimester ultrasanographic diagnosis. They will also take part in conversations on issues of significance in the region like cervical cancer prevention and the need to increase exclusive
breastfeeding rates.

The three-day programme will feature a series of special lectures, interactive panel discussions, hands-on workshops, interactive case studies and training courses. Over 30 international and regional experts will discuss topics ranging from patient safety to prevention of caesarean sections.
