HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani with HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud at the Rota ceremony yesterday.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended the fifth annual Reach Out to Asia (Rota) ceremony, which was held in Ali bin Abdullah castle in Doha yesterday.

HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani attended the ceremony.

HH the wife of the Emir Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim al-Thani, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud as well as a number of their excellencies Sheikhs and ministers attended the event.

The event is held under the theme “Plant a Book...Harvest a Future.” The event began with showing a documentary about the activities and projects of Rota in Asia, particularly in the field of providing education to children affected by wars, conflicts and stricken areas.

HE the Rota Chairperson, Sheikha al-Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani, presented Rota Lifetime Achievement Award to Prince Alwaleed in recognition of his work in supporting developmental and charitable work, and particularly his support to Rota, which is member of Qatar Foundation.
