A delegation from the Q-Post, led by its chairman Abdul Rahman al-Aqaily will be on a fortnight long assignment at the headquarters of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Berne, Switzerland, starting from November 3.

The team members will hold a series of discussions during their 12-day assignment at the UPU, according to a Q-Post communique.

A special investment meeting is on the schedule, it said. The meeting would explore the possibility of strengthening the technological co-operation between the UPU member countries. The latest UPU sessions follow the deliberations at the World Postal Congress held in Doha in September-October 2012.

The delegates from Doha are also expected to attend a meeting where an agreement is expected to reach between a UN forum working for gender equality and enhancing the capabilities of women and empower them.
