HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met Qatari students on scholarships to the United Kingdom at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Tuesday evening.
The Emir welcomed the students, commending their efforts to attain educational qualification from abroad in order to serve their country.
He urged them to make every effort in acquiring knowledge, and showing determination and will to benefit from the knowledge exchange offered by the scholarship.
The Emir stressed the State’s keenness to provide higher learning opportunities for students, the need for them to be the goodwill ambassadors of their homeland and acquire the expertise that would contribute to Qatar’s development.
He also urged the students to exert more diligence and hard work since they are the ambassadors of the country.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Emir and expressed their pleasure and honour to meet him, saying that they will redouble their efforts to acquire knowledge in order to serve their country in the future.
