HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani (fourth from right) admires the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Trophy after receiving it from Queen Elizabeth at the Royal Ascot racecourse in England yesterday. Sheikh Abdullah-owned Charm Spirit clinched the QIPCO-sponsored Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in an exciting finish from Night Of Thunder. This was the third consecutive Group I victory for Charm Spirit, which ran in the colours of Umm Qarn. The champion colt, trained by Freddy Head, was ridden to victory by Frenchman Oliver Peslier.
