Son of Babylon tells the story of Ahmed, a wilful young boy, who follows his equally obstinate grandmother on a journey across Iraq, driven by her determination to discover the fate of her missing son, Ahmed’s father, who never returned from war.

In the Sands of Babylon is a gripping drama about an Iraqi soldier escaping from Kuwait as the army retreats in 1991. He is captured and put in the prison, accused of being a traitor. Outside, an Iraqi uprising instils hope for those held captive in the killing fields of Babylon.
