Dr al-Mulla and al-Sulaiti shake hands after signing the agreement yesterday.

Education Above All Foundation (EAA) and Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) yesterday signed a partnership agreement.

EAA runs educational programmes worldwide, which include Educate A Child, Al Fakhoora and the Protecting Education in Insecurity and Conflict (PEIC) programme.

Fahad al-Sulaiti, director of Finance and Administration at EAA, stated that the support of Qatari organisations such as Qapco are crucial to the success of EAA’s mission to bring new life chances and real hope and opportunities to poor and marginalised children and youth around the world.

Dr Mohamed Youssef al-Mulla, vice-chairman and CEO of Qapco explained that the support to EAA is in line with Qapco’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in Qatar and worldwide.

EAA, a global initiative founded in 2012 by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, aims to build a global movement that contributes to human, social and economic development through quality education and other welfare programmes and initiatives.

With a particular focus on areas affected by poverty, conflict and disaster, EAA champions the needs of children and youth and empower them to be active members of their communities.

By meeting the demand for education, EAA equips them to support sustainable development and to nurture environments of peace, security, justice and prosperity. EAA is the umbrella organisation overseeing three core programmes, EAC, Al Fakhoora and PEIC.
