Vodafone has introduced its Haj Roaming Pack, which gives customers roaming in Saudi Arabia on the Mobily network during the Haj period unlimited data.
This is available from now until October 10 for QR50 a week.
The initiative comes following the announcement that Vodafone’s customers can enjoy 4G services while roaming in Saudi Arabia on Mobily.
The number of people using roaming services in Saudi Arabia is expected to increase during Haj. With the special pack, thousands of customers will be able to browse the Internet freely.
“As many of our customers make the great pilgrimage to Mecca, we are pleased to offer them an amazing roaming pack to help them stay in touch with family and friends and to capture their spiritual journey. With 4G roaming services also available from Vodafone, we hope we can make our customers’ experience even more special,” Vodafone has said in a statement.
The Haj pack is available for all Vodafone customers on prepaid, postpaid and business. To activate the pack while roaming in Saudi Arabia, prepaid customers need to dial *200*966#, postpaid users *110*966# and business customers *110*966#
Saudi Arabia is included on the list of 26 Vodafone Passport countries, which gives Vodafone’s postpaid customers the ability to enjoy a roaming rate of 75Dhs per minute to make and receive calls, send an SMS or MB of Internet.
For QR20 a month, postpaid customers can activate Vodafone Passport as an extra on top of their postpaid plan by calling 122 or visiting any Vodafone store. Red XL and Red VIP postpaid customers enjoy the Vodafone Passport rate for free within their bundles.
