Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has organised a wide range of activities for families and people of all ages during the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations.

The Eid al-Adha activities will start from the first day of Eid and continue for seven days. During this period, Qatar will play host to a variety of events, activities and shows for families.

Rashed al-Qurese, Director Marketing and Promotion QTA, said: “Last Eid events were well received, drawing residents and visitors from across the GCC to attractions in malls and venues around Qatar. We’re certain that everyone in the family will find something of interest during this year’s Eid celebrations in Qatar.”

Three categories of activities will be available during the Eid period: entertainment and cultural shows, activities at key locations around Doha and activities sponsored by partners that are specially tailored for the period.

Last year, shows and performances in Qatar’s malls included the Smurfs, Made in the Ice Age, Ben 10, among many others.

“Once again this Eid, residents and visitors can expect to find activities at all the usual spots in Qatar – from Katara, Souq Waqif to the malls – as well as special events created solely for the Eid period.”

The Eid celebrations in Qatar programme derives from QTA’s role as promoter of the tourism industry. Working with partners in the public and private sectors, QTA organises such events to draw attention to the wide variety of experiences on offer in Qatar, and to attract visitors from around the region during holidays.
