The stars of “Disney On Ice” has arrived in town to perform the “Rockin’ Ever After” show from September 24 to 27 at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

Many of the 100 cast and crew members led by “Mickey Mouse” and “Minnie Mouse” have started preparing for the much-anticipated show.

In a press statement, organisers said it took 420 hours to create “the arena that will take families and friends on an unforgettable journey”.

Performance director Jackie Soames explained the cast and crew  were looking forward to experiencing some of Doha’s Arabian culture.

“The majority of the cast has never been to the Middle East but have heard a lot about Qatari culture and tradition,” said Soames.

“Many have spoken about exploring the city while others are keen to go on a desert safari. Ultimately we are all thrilled to be here and I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we’re looking forward to bringing some of the Disney magic to Doha.”

“Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After” had only toured the US, before starting its world tour in Dubai and arriving in Doha. The extravaganza will bring together all-time favourite Disney characters from stories, including Disney-Pixar’s Brave and Disney’s Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

Complemented by award-winning music, spectacular choreography and beautiful costumes, Soames said “the show will deliver a lifetime of memories”.

“The team is ecstatic to welcome the show’s stars, cast and crew, and we look forward to an action-packed, fun-filled couple of weeks in the final lead up to the show,” said Ali Haidary, the founder and CEO of Sport & Entertainment Solutions (SES).

“It is difficult to explain just how much goes into making a production of the scale and magnitude of Disney On Ice a reality but we know it will be worth it when we see the look of wonder on the face of so many children,” he added

SES announced early June that the show would be coming to dazzle audiences in the Middle East for the first time.

Tickets start from QR175, QR275, and QR475. VIP tickets cost QR1,000 while Rink-side Royal at QR2,000. Tickets are available from Virgin Megastores and online www.virginmegastore.qa

“Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After” is produced by Feld Entertainment, presented by the Qatar Tourism Authority and its Events Diary, OnQatar and organised by SES in association with q.media.
