HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi, yesterday received copies of the credentials of ambassadors of Belgium and Vietnam to Qatar Christophe Payot and Nguyen Hoang respectively. HE al-Rumaihi wished the two ambassadors success in their duties and further growth to Qatar’s bilateral relations with Belgium and Vietnam. A number of Foreign Ministry officials attended the ceremony.
Qatar for Moscow Qur’an contest
Qatar will participate in the 5th Moscow International Holy Qur’an Award Contest which is due to start today. It will be represented by Mohamed Yahya Taher, who competes in the category of memorising the whole Holy Qur’an. In a statement, Sultan bin Saad al-Bader, Head of the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences section at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ Call and Guidance Department, said that it was the first time Qatar was participating in the three-day Moscow Qur’an competition.
