A high-level delegation from the US State Department and American embassy in Doha officials recently visited Qatar Foundation for Protection and Social Rehabilitation (QFPSR) and Qatari House for Lodging and Human Care (QHLHC). The delegation was headed by Thomas Melia, the US State Department’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labour. It was received by senior QFPSR officers, who briefed them on the QHLHC’s activities and services. They were also informed about the QFPSR’s efforts to ensure human rights, particularly of the expatriate workforce in the country.
