HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi has expressed  Qatar’s rejection and disapproval of the statements made by  Abdullah al-Thinni concerning the “interference” of the State of Qatar in Libya’s internal affairs.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA),  al-Rumaihi called  al-Thinni’s allegations and claims  “misleading and unfounded”, adding that Qatar’s “policy is based on clear and consistent foundations: mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries”.

He stressed the serious nature of these allegations, adding that it would be appropriate for al-Thinni to ensure their accuracy before releasing such statements, especially since he did not say a word against the bombing of his country and its citizens recently.

Al-Rumaihi called on for not to involve Qatar in Libya’s internal differences .

He reiterated Qatar’s “keenness in the security and the stability of the brotherly Libyan people, as embodied by its continuous support for the Libyan people since the beginning of their glorious revolution until now”.

He concluded his statement by calling on all Libyan parties “to allow the language of reason and wisdom to prevail over that of force and arms, and to start a process of comprehensive national dialogue to meet the brotherly Libyan people’s aspirations and to uphold the security and integrity of Libya”.
