Emir endorses Cabinet decisions


HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani endorsed yesterday Cabinet decision No. 48 of 2014 enforcing rules of Law No.14 of 2014 on pensions and retirement of Qataris working at Woqod Vehicles Inspection Company (Fahes).
HH the Emir also endorsed Cabinet decision No. 49 of 2014 exempting Ras Qartas Energy Plant from income tax.
He endorsed Cabinet decision No. 50 of 2014 establishing Al-Shahaniya Municipality.
HH the Emir endorsed Cabinet decision No. 51 of 2014 establishing the Joint Committee for Communications Infrastructure Work.
The decisions are to go into effect and to be published in the official gazette.

Law on combating cyber crime

 
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued yesterday Law No. 14 of 2014 on combating cyber crime. HH the Emir also issued Law No. 15 of 2014 regulating charitable activities, Law No. 16 of 2014 exempting some commodities from customs duties and Law No. 17 of 2014 exempting the share of non-Qatari investors in profits of some companies and investment funds from income tax.

Greetings to Nicaragua, El Salvador

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega Saavedra on the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.
HH the Emir and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister also sent yesterday cables of congratulations to President of El Salvador Salvador Sanchez Ceren on his country’s National Day.

Deputy PM meets French envoy

 
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud met in Doha yesterday with French Ambassador to Qatar Eric Chevallier. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields, besides reviewing a number of issues of common interest.
