Qatar Police College and the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) have signed a protocol on co-operation to co-ordinate efforts in the field of human rights.
The protocol was signed by Qatar Police College director-general Brig Dr Mohamed Abdullah al-Mohanna and NHRC secretary-general Maryam Abdullah al-Attiyah in the presence of officials from both sides.
The Police College director-general stressed that the co-operation protocol falls within the framework of the vision to associate with colleges and different community institutions within Qatar and abroad.
The NHRC has played a key role in introducing and spreading the culture of human rights since its establishment by an Emiri decision, it was observed. Co-ordination with the Police College will help serve students of the college in courses related to human rights, freedom and equality, participation in the preparation of working papers, research and studies or preparation for seminars and workshops held in co-operation between the two sides to serve the community in addition to utilising the libraries of both entities.
