A second year pre-medical student of Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q) died in a motorcycle accident in the Education City campus on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as 20 year-old Jaber Hamad al-Adba, a Qatari. In the wake of the tragedy, WCMC-Q indefinitely postponed a White Coat ceremony scheduled yesterday.
Without the naming the student, Qatar Foundation confirmed the news on Twitter. So did WCMC-Q dean Dr Javaid Sheikh in an e-mail sent to faculty and students.
