Masraf Al Rayan yesterday held its blood donation campaign for 2014 in collaboration with the Blood Donation Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).

The initiative came as part of Masraf Al Rayan’s social responsibility obligation towards the people of Qatar, its commitment to participating in different humanitarian programmes and the support it renders to HMC health campaigns.

The participants expressed satisfaction at being a part of the cause and were proud that their participation would contribute to alleviating the suffering of many people who were in need of help.

Adel Mustafawi, Group CEO at Masraf Al Rayan, underlined that the campaign has become an annual social activity for the bank and the staff to reinforce the principle of raising awareness about the importance of blood donation, its positive impact on public health as well as the responsibility towards the community.  

He also pointed to the co-operation with HMC, working together on such initiatives.

Nasser Mohamed Raeissi, assistant general manager for Human Resources and Administration at Masraf Al Rayan, highlighted the success of the campaign and its role in  raising awareness about the importance of blood donation.

He also stressed how the employees contributed to one of the most important initiatives that would enhance the health of individuals and the community.
