Oryx GTL gave certificates and gifts to its summer interns at a ceremony.

The event was attended by Oryx GTL’s executive management, managers, heads of sections, learning and development staff, summer internship task force team and  summer trainees with their parents and relatives.

Oryx GTL’s learning and development department conducted a summer internship programme from end of June until July 24  to enable summer trainees gain experience and understand the requirements, challenges and rewards of working with the company.

The 26 summer trainees were assigned to various departments throughout the company working closely with their coaches.

During the event, Oryx GTL also bid farewell to 12 employees who will be continuing their further education under Oryx GTL’s sponsorship.

Certificates of appreciation were distributed to the summer trainees as well as gifts for further education students and the summer internship task force team.

“A key component of Oryx GTL’s corporate social responsibility programme is to strengthen young people’s focus on their future career options and provide them with opportunities to improve their skills and to build a solid foundation for their personal and professional growth,” a company official said.
