The emergency department at Hamad General Hospital (HGH) received some 700 cases during the fourth day of Eid.

Around 20 of these pertained to heart attacks while two were road accident injuries. One death was registered during this period due to a heart attack.

The ambulance service received 184 calls for help from 3am until 6pm on the same day, with 95 minor cases and 89 critical ones. Five road accidents were among the cases for which calls for help were made in addition to 118 regular ailment cases.

The air (helicopter) ambulance responded to two calls for help during the same period. Further, HGH has provided 61 vehicles for ambulances service in addition to seven four-wheel drives for deployment in difficult terrain.
