Emir, Saudi King discuss Gaza developments

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday held a telephonic conversation with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia.

They discussed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to develop them. They also discussed developments in Gaza Strip and efforts exerted to halt the Israeli aggression and to help the brotherly Palestinian people.

Regional and international matters of mutual concern were also discussed.

 

Cables of
greetings

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday sent cables of congratulations to the Swiss Confederation president on the occasion of his country’s National Day.

They also sent cables of congratulations to the Benin president on the occasion of his country’s Independence Day.

 

Qatar, Italian FMs in consultations

HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah received on Thursday a telephone call from Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini. During the call, they discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip. They also discussed repercussions of developments in Libya and ways to find a solution to the crisis.

 

Beijing talks

Qatar’s ambassador to China, Sultan bin Salmeen sl-Mansouri, yesterday visited China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) where he met with its chairman Shang Fulin. During the meeting in Beijing, they discussed ways to boost relations between the two countries, especially in the banking sector.
