HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables to the Russian President Vladimir Putin condoling the victims of the Moscow Metro accident.
FM reviews situation in Gaza Strip
HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah held a telephone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond yesterday. They discussed the situation in Gaza and details of the humanitarian truce.
Separately, HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah received a telephone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamed Jawad Zarif.
They exchanged views on the situation in Gaza, means to halt the Israeli aggression, ways to end of the siege clamped on the Strip and to provide support for the Palestinian people.
Embassy cancels Eid celebration
The Malaysian embassy in Doha has announced that the Eid 2014 celebration, which was scheduled to be held on the first day of Eid (today) at the Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence, has been cancelled to honour the victims of Malaysian Airlines flights MH370 and MH17.
