HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has exchanged cables of congratulations on the advent of the blessed Eid al-Fitr with the leaders of the Arab and Islamic countries.
The Emir also received cables of congratulations on the occasion from a number of leaders of friendly countries.
The Emir, in a telephone call yesterday, exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia.
The Emir has also received a cable of congratulations on the advent of Eid al-Fitr from HE the Advisory (Shura) Council Speaker Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
The Emir sent a reply cable to the Advisory Council Speaker in which HH thanked the Advisory Council Speaker and the Council members for their congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
The Emir wished the Advisory Council Speaker and the Council members the best of health, happiness and success and more welfare, progress and prosperity to the people of Qatar.
Separately, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani has exchanged cables of congratulations with prime ministers of the Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
