The Moon Sighting Committee in the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has called on all Muslims in Qatar to be on the look for sighting the Shawwal crescent on Sunday, the 29th of the holy month of Ramadan. The sighting of the Shawwal crescent signifies the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the Eid al-Fitr festival. The committee has invited everybody who has a testimony confirming the sighting of the crescent to report it at the Awqaf Ministry as the committee will be in session.
Al-Attiyah holds talks with Libyan minister
