The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has opened a section of the Al Matar Street, (as shown in the picture ) on the Al Wakrah to Doha route.
The whole route on both directions would be opened completely later on, a statement from Ashghal has said.
From now onwards the temporary road diversion (as shown in the picture) which was there for the last several months is closed and the traffic will be diverted accordingly.
“This opening is part of the F-Ring road project undertaken by Ashghal to provide access to the Hamad International Airport (HIA) and a direct link to the south of Doha,” according to the Asghal statement.
Ashghal, it said, would equip the area with all mandatory traffic signs needed to direct vehicles and the authority has urged road users to abide by speed limits and traffic signs to ensure their safety.
