HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan chairing a session of talks in Ankara on Tuesday.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani discussed with the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan the latest developments in the region, particularly the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, and efforts being made to help the Palestinian people in the face of the massacres perpetrated by the occupation forces.  

The Emir and the Turkish prime minister also reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and Turkey and ways of developing and strengthening them and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues during the talks which were held at the Turkish PM’s headquarters on Tuesday.

The Emir left Ankara early yesterday after arriving there on Tuesday evening. He was seen off at the Ankara International Airport by Turkish Minister of Finance and head of the mission of honour Mehmet Simsek, a number of senior Turkish officials and Qatar’s Ambassador to Turkey Salem Mubarak al-Shafi.
