Almana Networks has partnered with Foxconn, makers of the Apple iPhone and iPad as well as several other world-renowned consumer electronic products, to launch a hi-tech HD television in Qatar. |
The first product to be launched under this partnership is the “first full Android HD TV with air mouse”, according to a statement.
The exclusive new TVs designed in Germany are manufactured by Foxconn under the brand name Royal Digital (RD).
The country’s growing global prominence has encouraged the ambitious development of Gulf-based businesses. The Almana Networks/Foxconn partnership seeks to continue this trend by creating a global-oriented technology brand based in Qatar, according to the statement.
Plans for the RD brand’s entry into the European and Indian markets in the coming months are already afoot.
“The brand motto is ‘The impossible made possible’ and for good reason. Royal Digital is here to become the No 1 tech brand in the Gulf,” said Rune Gunnar, managing director of RD.
During Ramadan, the TVs will be exclusively sold in Qatar at specially discounted prices. Much of the first shipment has already been sold out but limited supply is still available in Al Anees stores and from the RD homepage, the statement adds.
The Royal Digital brand offers a range of high-quality products, ranging from TVs to Bluetooth headphones.
