The Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) yesterday announced that Qatar Airways will be the official carrier of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation’s (IASP) 31st Annual World Conference (IASP 2014 Doha). |
IASP 2014 Doha is a global gathering of science parks, entrepreneurs and policy makers that will take place later this year.
As the event’s official carrier, Qatar Airways will help bring roughly 1,000 leading government, business and technology innovation delegates from 45 countries to Qatar.
IASP 2014 Organising Committee head and QSTP managing director Hamad al-Kuwari said: “For the first time in the Arab region, IASP 2014 Doha will gather entrepreneurs and policy makers from different parts of the world to explore new models of support for the world’s most empowered and connected generation of technology startups and entrepreneurs.
“I can think of no other airline that embodies the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the event more than Qatar Airways. We are grateful for the support of Qatar Airways in making IASP 2014 Doha a success and offering delegates the Five Star experience they can’t get anywhere else.”

IASP 2014 Doha will be the first IASP World Conference hosted in the Arab world. Already, IASP 2014 Doha has hit a major milestone by attracting 138 abstract submissions and lining up 33 speakers for October - the highest participation the event has seen in the last four years.
IASP 2014 Doha will take place from October 19-22 at the Qatar National Convention Centre. Registration is open and live online.
