Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation has launched the second admissions cycle for the Translation and Interpreting Institute’s (TII) Master of Arts in Audiovisual Translation (MAAT) programme.

TII is now accepting online applications for those planning  to begin their studies in the MAAT in September 2014.

A two-year programme, MAAT offers students a varied curriculum, including  introductory and advanced subtitling and dubbing, voice-over and media translation. The programme  also teaches students subtitling for the hearing impaired, audio-description for the visually impaired, and the selection and adaptation of translation technologies for the needs of different language communities.

Applicants are required to submit university transcripts, English proficiency test reports, proof of proficiency in one of TII’s working languages (Arabic, French or Spanish), two references, a detailed resume and a copy of their passport.  Applicants are also required to complete a personal statement.
