At the event, 223 top achievers were awarded in recognition of their excellent performance and valuable contribution to the success of the company in 2013.

Dr Mohamed Yousef al-Mulla, vice chairman & CEO of Qapco, appreciated the pivotal contribution of the top achievers. “Thanks to your continuous engagement and determination, over the years Qapco has never ceased to evolve, grow and expand. 2013 is certainly no exception to our journey towards success.

“Every day, thanks to you, we are growing stronger. Your efforts translate into strong performance that allows us to reach new heights. Qapco believes employees are its most precious asset and that they define the success of the company by setting record-breaking performances every day. Celebrating high achievers and appreciating their continuous efforts is a fundamental pillar of Qapco’s People Strategy, as it reinforces motivation and employee engagement, encourages teamwork, and further enhances performance and innovation, paving the way to business excellence.

Al-Mulla  said: “Rewarding performance is one of our key values and embedded in our culture. Employees’ recognition is an ongoing, all-year round process. At Qapco, we are blessed to count so many fantastic achievers. I am honoured to celebrate today some of our strongest and most active contributors to 2013’s successes.”

More than 40% of Qapco employees have more than ten years of experience at Qapco, a clear indicator of the company’s success in retaining employees by providing rewarding employment opportunities.

Qapco believes in investing heavily in the skills and success of its employees. Since its inception in 1974, Qapco has continuously invested in the development of its employees, building strong local know-how and internal capabilities.

In 2013, Qapco increased employee training hours by 20%.

Al-Mulla also praised teamwork: “As a company, we know that growth and improvement doesn’t happen by chance; it is the result of all forces working together towards one goal. Good teams incorporate teamwork into their culture, creating the building blocks for success. Our team spirit is our strength and our effective team-work has allowed us to grow further.”
