Vatsal Vimal Patel of DPS Modern Indian School (MIS) and Lakshmi Ajay Nair of Ideal Indian School (IIS) topped the science and commerce streams, respectively, among the Indian school students in Qatar at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examinations held in March this year.
Patel scored 98.2% (491 marks) and Nair 97.4% (487). The results were announced yesterday.  
At DPS MIS, Shanice Fernandes topped the commerce stream with 94.6%. A total of 95 students from the school have passed with distinction and 44 students secured an aggregate of 90% or above.
At IIS, Asiya Thakur (94.8%) topped the science stream. As many as 111 students out of 205 who appeared for the examination got distinction (75% and above) and 95% have secured first class (60% and above).
At MES Indian school, Amal Fathima Sameer and  Moshammet Manzia Noor emerged toppers in science stream with an aggregate of 482 (96.4%). In the commerce stream, Shanen D’Souza secured the first position with 96% (480) marks. While 94.96% of the science stream students achieved above 60% marks, 73% scored above 70%.
In the commerce stream, 74.1% of the students scored above 60% while 46% scored above 70%.
At Birla Public School (BPS), Vrinda Shenoy topped the science stream with 96.4% marks. Hiba Nasreen, with 95.8%, topped the commerce stream in the school. The pass percentage is 100.
Out of the 121 students who appeared for the exams, 33 scored 90% and above, including 76.9% who scored above 75%. As many as 120 students scored 60% and above and one student got 57.2%. The school average at BPS is 82.44%.
At Shantiniketan Indian School, Amanda Mendes topped with 95% in commerce stream. Nabeela Basheer was the topper in the science stream with 91 %. While 50% students in the commerce stream scored above 80%, all students in the science and commerce streams scored above 60%.
At Doha Modern Indian School, Suzaan Shajil topped the science stream with 92.8% marks. Shreya Elizabeth Jacob topped the commerce stream also with 92.8%. As many as 60% of the students scored 80% and above.
