Qatar is taking part in the meetings of the 67th World Health Assembly (WHA), in Geneva, Switzerland from today.

Qatar’s delegation to the six-day meeting is headed by HE the Minister of Health Abdulla bin Khalid al-Qahtani. 

The WHA is the highest decision-making body of the World Health Organisation (WHO), and is attended by delegations from all WHO member states.

The WHA would discuss issues related to reforming WHO and improving the process of decision making within its various departments, in addition to combating common diseases and improving health practices and health institutions.

It would also discuss the health situation in the Palestinian territories, besides the issues related to the WHO budget and finances among other related issues.
