HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), yesterday visited Osaka University Hospital in Japan and held a meeting with Osaka University president Dr Toshio Hirano.  They discussed collaboration between Qatar and the university as well as student exchanges.  Sheikha Moza paid a visit to a Qatari patient who is undergoing innovative stem cell treatment at the University Hospital. The Osaka University was the final stop on her five-day visit to Japan that has sought to strengthen ties between the two countries in  research and development, with the focus on computing, energy, environment and biomedical research.  During the visit, a number of memoranda of understanding were signed between QF and Japanese entities aiming to  expand research collaboration and people-to-people exchanges.  PICTURE: Maher Attar/HHO
