The newly opened services complex at Doha Port brings a number of key offices together.
The complex consists of two floors, shaded car parks and outdoor parking spaces. It is equipped with advanced communication, surveillance and firefighting equipment.
The building also has separate entry and exit points for people with special needs. The ground floor includes a big waiting area for the public with a large display screen and an automated device for the services provided by Mawani Qatar (Qatar Ports Management Company), General Authority of Customs and Qatar Navigation (Milaha).
The complex’s ground floor also includes 25 service counters, including nine counters for Mawani Qatar, eight for the General Authority of Customs and nine for Milaha. There are 18 offices on the first floor, designed to serve shipping companies and their agents, Customs clearance companies and transportation firms.
Mawani Qatar issues both permanent and temporary entry permits for Doha Port users through the service counters at the new complex.
The General Authority of Customs provides services such as collecting Customs revenues, following up on all Customs clearance after paying the requisite fees and the single window, through which applications for shipments to be cleared are completed.
Qatar Navigation (Milaha) serves its customers through its counters at the complex. They include recording the details of goods as well as containers and vehicles transporting them before they enter and exit the port, and collecting revenues related to demurrage and handling fees.
