Alfardan Premier Motors, the exclusive importer of Land Rover in Qatar, is supporting the Red Bull KTM Factory Rally team at the second round of the five-day FIM Cross Country Rallies World
Championship at the Sealine.

At the event which began on Monday at the Losail Circuit, the factory racers headed by this year’s Dakar winner Marc Coma, will compete over 1,900km on their rally motorcycles.

The race includes a variety of sandy and rocky terrain that requires precise navigational skills including a daunting 411km
section today.

A vital part of logistics for the team is the support vehicles that will navigate alongside the rally to offer help to the riders at certain parts of the race. Alfardan Premier Motors has provided two Land Rover LR4 SUVs which will assist the team to safely navigate the rugged terrain to reach its riders.

Rabih Ataya, general manager, Alfardan Premier Motors, described the championship as very challenging for both the riders and the support team. “The ability to navigate precisely is key so we are proud to be able to assist them with our very efficient and reliable Land Rover LR4 SUVs. We look forward to continuing this partnership and support the rallies in the future.”

The other members of the KTM team are up and coming youngster Sam Sunderland, this year’s Dakar runner-up Jordi Viladoms and Ruben Faria who will contest their Red Bull KTM 450 Factory Rally machines.

Alex Doringer, manager, Red Bull KTM Rally Team, said: “We are very pleased to have this new relationship with Alfardan Premier Motors for the Qatar round of the Cross Country Rallies World Championship, as the incredibly robust Land Rover LR4 vehicles supplied for the race will play a pivotal role in our strategy.

“We are lucky enough to have the very best vehicles at our fingertips, which takes a lot of stress away from the team, so we can concentrate on the race. We are very grateful for this and we hope over time that this
relationship can grow.

“This new deal is also thanks to the strong relationship we have had with Land Rover Europe, whom have helped us gain access to these fantastic vehicles that play such a vital part in our racing programme.”
