Premier receives message from Indian PM
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday received a written message from Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The message was related to bilateral relations. The Ambassador of India to Qatar Sanjeev Arora handed the message during a meeting with the Prime Minister. They discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them.
PM meets envoy of Philippines
HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday met Philippines Ambassador to Doha Crescente R Relacion.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed existing co-operation between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.
Iranian delegation calls on premier
HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday met Iran’s Deputy Minister of Interior Ali Abdullahi and the delegation accompanying him, currently on a visit to Qatar.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed issues of mutual concern.
PM visits ministry of communications
HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday visited the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. During his visit, the Premier was given a presentation on the achievements of the e-Government’s steering committee, which featured the executive plan of the government’s electronic services.
He was also briefed on the working plan of the committee in 2014-15.
Minister meets deputy chief of ILO
HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi yesterday met International Labor Organisation (ILO) Deputy Director-General Gilbert Houngbo, who is currently visiting Doha. During the meeting, they reviewed issues of mutual concern, particularly those related to national programmes and legislation to guarantee workers’ rights.
ILO regional director Nada al-Nashef attended the meeting along with a group of justice ministry officials.
Qatar-Djibouti ties discussed
HE Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Supreme Education Council (SEC) secretary general, yesterday met Djibouti’s Minister of Education and Professional Training Djama Elmi Okieh and the delegation accompanying him.
The two sides discussed co-operation in the fields of education, technical education and the Arabic language.
Djibouti’s Ambassador to Doha Mumin Hassan Barreh attended the meeting.
