More than 100 participants from joint partner ventures of ExxonMobil Qatar have benefitted from the company’s Tamayoz training programme since it initiated the activity in January this year.

“The Tamayoz training programme is a tangible measure of ExxonMobil’s ongoing commitment to the Qatar National Vision 2030 by strengthening the Human Development Pillar,” said ExxonMobil Qatar president and general manager Bart Cahir.

Cahir explained that Tamayoz is a supply and transportation seminar and a well testing class held in Doha for attendees from Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas, RasGas, and Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company (Tasweeq).

“By providing individual training courses that cover a vast range of topics throughout the year, ExxonMobil experts share technical, commercial, and operational expertise with Qatari partners to help support sustainability in the future,” Cahir added.

For the programme’s March 25 instalment, participants from Qatargas, Qatar Petroleum, and Tasweeq joined the “Supply and Transportation Seminar.”

The course provides an overview of supply, trading, marine transportation and refining optimisation, and demonstrates the benefits of early integration of downstream expertise into upstream projects.

A team of three ExxonMobil experts guided attendees during the seminar and discussed the impact of crude essay, quality and location on value, and providing real life examples of the impact downstream-related issues have on upstream project development.

Another seminar, the five-day “Well Testing” course offered by the Technical Surface and Subsurface Group was held in Doha from March 30 to April 3 for Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas, and RasGas experts: reservoir engineers, production engineers, and geologists with engineering, geoscience or operations experience.

After completing the course, the participants were able to identify and collect data required for well test analysis; apply specialised analysis techniques for data interpretation; use of third party software to manipulate and analyse data from well tests; state applications of well testing for reservoir management, and identify the contact for well testing advice or assistance.

Tamayoz training programmes are extensions of ExxonMobil’s commitment to share information and disseminate knowledge gained through its own industry expertise with partners and individuals in Qatar’s energy sector.

The Tamayoz programme is a key ExxonMobil undertaking that conveys the company’s direct support for Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and the development of its national workforce.
