Director-general of the Cultural Village (Katara) Dr Khalid al-Sulaiti yesterday met Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Qatar Dr Tawfiq Abdullayev. The Azeri ambassador visited Katara to discuss cultural co-operation between Qatar and Azerbaijan . |
During the meeting they discussed means of achieving cultural co-operation and to shed light on the Azeri culture.
The ambassador expressed great admiration at the cultural village’s architectural design and readiness to revitalise cultural relations between the two sides.
Dr al-Sulaiti said that Katara has been making efforts to establish relations with different cultures through such meetings.
Earlier in the day, Dr al-Sulaiti met the Cultural Attache at the Yemeni embassy Safwat al-Ghasham to discuss a host of issues, including the civilisational and cultural history of Yemen and the possibility of organising an event in Katara.
