Commercial Bank, one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, has announced the launch of the first self-service card kiosk in Qatar.

The new kiosk is situated at the bank’s D-Ring Road branch allowing customers to get their debit or credit cards produced, delivered and activated, instantly, at the touch of a button.

As the cards are ready to be used instantly, there is no longer a need for customers to call the bank to activate them.

Commercial Bank’s CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi said the self-service card kiosk is part of the bank’s strategy to implement technology-based initiatives that make banking simple and effortless for all customers.

Al-Raisi said Commercial Bank has always used technology to make banking  more convenient and easily accessible through a range of alternative channels including ATMs, Internet, mobile and phone banking among others.

“Our continual adoption of innovative technologies in Qatar, such as the self-service card kiosk, demonstrates our commitment to improving and developing our proposition to meet our customers’ preferred way of banking.”

Customers can use the kiosk at the D Ring Road branch collection centre, which is open Sunday-Thursday from 7.30am to 4pm, with more branches to follow in the near future.
