HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in Khartoum yesterday. President Bashir presented Sudan’s Medal of Honour to HH the Emir “in recognition of the excellent ties between the two countries”, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) said. They held a round of official talks which were attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir and a number of Sudanese ministers and senior officials. The two sides discussed ways to further develop the bilateral relations. Regional and international causes of mutual interest were also reviewed. HH the Emir later left for Algeria, wrapping up a one-day state visit to Sudan. The Emir is also scheduled to visit Tunisia
