An exhibition of Qatari artist Hassan al-Mulla’s paintings was inaugurated yesterday at Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation by Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti.

The exhibition, which is being held at Building 22 (Katara) until April 30, showcases the artist’s vision through different stages in his artistic life.

Al-Mulla is considered as one of the leading Qatari formative painters who has taken part in the establishment of the formative movement in Qatar. In his paintings, he focuses on the local culture in its various aspects.

“I have chosen 50 paintings for this exhibition, which I have kept unsold and display my work in different stages of my life. Some of them are also new,” said al-Mulla.

Dr al-Sulaiti stressed the keenness of Katara to host the creations of Qatari artists, which further enrich the cultural environment at Katara.
