HE the Finance Minister Ali Sherif al-Emadi presented the view of the government concerning the draft budget of the State’s major public projects of 2014-15 fiscal year and offered clarifications during the Advisory Council’s weekly session held here yesterday under the chairmanship of its Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
At the outset of the session, the Council’s Secretary General HE Fahd bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read out the agenda which was then agreed upon. Then the Council endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
Then the memo of the council’s general secretariat on the estimates of the major public projects of the State’s 2014-15 Fiscal Year to the Advisory Council was read out and the latter took note of them.
HE al-Khulaifi in his address on the occasion thanked HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani for his due attention accorded to the various sectors with special emphasis on education, health, infrastructure, transport and housing.
Later the council discussed a report of the financial and economic affairs on the draft budget of the State’s major public projects of the 2014-15 fiscal year and decided to refer its recommendations to the cabinet.
Among those who attended yesterday’s meeting were HE Khalaf bin Ahmed al-Mannai, the Finance Undersecretary; HE Sheikh Saoud bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani, the Director of the Public Budget at the Finance Ministry; and HE Engineer Nasser Ali al-Mawlawi, the President of the Public Works Authority Ashghal.
