Indian expatriate Joseph Oommen Mattathumalayil (59), popularly known as Alex, died after a prolonged illness in Doha yesterday. |
He is survived by his wife Mary Joseph and two sons, Steve, who works for Gulf Times, and Stan, an employee of Fortune Promoseven.
Alex came to Doha in 1999 from Bahrain where he had lived for 20 years. He had been working with Fortune Promoseven as media manager in their Doha office.
A native of Eraviperoor in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district, Alex will be buried in his home town, though a date for the funeral has not been set.
